Bid Information

Project Description:

The Town of Pincher Creek and the Economic Development Committee identified wayfinding as an area of improvement with in our community. The Town Council has allocated a budget to the wayfinding project and have shown support for the project. A committee was struck to help identify some of the needs with in our community and to help initiate the project. The Town of Pincher Creek is seeking competitive proposals from qualified businesses or individuals to manufacture and/or install our wayfinding signage. The bid package is designed to allow both manufacturing and installation to be bid together or for one or the other.

Bid Security:

The Contractor shall have General Liability Insurance with limits of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000) inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death and damage to property including loss of use thereof, with a Property Damage deductible of five hundred dollars ($500.00). The form of this insurance shall be the latest edition of CCDC Form 101 and shall be maintained continuously from commencement of the Work until the Certificate of Total Performance of the Work is issued, whichever is the later, and with respect to Completed Operations Coverage for a period of not less than twelve (12) months from the date of the Certificate of Total Performance of Work. If such operations are performed by any Subcontractor the Contractor shall ensure that such Subcontractor also maintains adequate insurance coverage. Bidders shall possess a valid certificate of recognition (COR) as issued by the Alberta construction safety association (ACSA) or another certifying organization authorized by Alberta Employment and Immigration to issue CORs. Alternatively, an equivalent safety program or an in-house safety program are acceptable (to be reviewed). Additional Requirements:

The successful proponent will be expected to provide proof of WCB coverage, liability insurance, warranty or guarantee, and a valid Town of Pincher Creek Business License in all cases where applicable. Automobile Liability Insurance in respect of licensed vehicles shall have limits of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000) inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death, and damage to property, in the following forms endorsed to provide the Owner with not less than fifteen (15) days written notice in advance of any cancellation, change or amendment restricting coverage: • Standard Non-Owned Automobile Policy including Standard Contractual Liability Endorsement. • Standard Owner’s Form Automobile Policy providing Third Party Liability and Accident Benefits Insurance and covering licensed vehicles owned or operated by or on behalf of the Contractor. All Risks Contractor’s Equipment Insurance covering construction machinery and equipment used by the Contractor for the performance of the Work shall be in a form acceptable to the Owner and shall not allow subrogation claims by the Insurer against the Owner. The policies shall be endorsed to provide the Owner with not less than fifteen (15) days written notice in advance of cancellation, change or amendment restricting coverage. Subject to satisfactory proof of financial capability by the Contractor for self-insurance of his equipment, the Owner agrees to waive the equipment insurance requirements.
